2021-22 Kindergarten and New Student Registration
We're SO excited to welcome our newest Penguins to Franconia Elementary School! Looking for information about registering a kindergarten or new student with us? Begin the registration process!
Students must be five years old by September 30, 2021, to start kindergarten.

Information about the Franconia PTA
The all volunteer-run Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at Franconia Elementary is an active part of the school community. The organization has a vital role in supporting the school in many ways, including purchasing technology, funding school buses for field trips, and supplementing classroom resources. Parent Technology Help Desk
To support families who are working with their children during distance learning, Fairfax County Public Schools now has a Parent Technology Help Desk. The number is 1-833-921-3277 (833-921-FCPS). It will be answered by staff 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week. If the help desk is unable to solve the issue on the phone with the parent or guardian, they will enter a ticket on the parent’s behalf and the request for help will be transferred to the appropriate FCPS team.
School Supply Lists 2020-2021
***UPDATED 8/31/20 - this year's school supplies lists have been updated to reflect virtual learning.
Please note: the supplies listed for each grade do not have to have been purchased by the first day of school.

The new start date for the 2020-2021 school year is Tuesday, September 8. Any changes to this schedule will be posted.

No-Cost Meals for All FCPS Students through June 30, 2021
Grab and Go meal sites are open 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). Meal Kits sites distribute each Wednesday from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m., or until supplies are exhausted. Buses distributing meals are operating Monday through Friday. Breakfast and lunch will be available at no-cost Monday-Friday at all schools with in-person instruction. Specific information about meal distribution locations and bus distribution schedules are available.
